Winter's non stop exhibtion program in Milan Italy, above private view entrance image of works from the 'de light experience' exhibition, winters work was well recieved seeing over 400 people attending the private view event, responce to the exhibtion was very positive and enjoyed by those who experienced it.  The exihibition gained press coverage in a number of tabliods with promotion of the exhibition around Milan generating a good responce to the private view event.

INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION: VISION OF LIGHT

Deon Winter holds her first international exhibition in Milan Italy, from the 19th September 2007.  Deon, who is funded by Arts Council England Grants for the arts programme, starts her 10 day non-stop exhibition programme at her solo exhibition 'de light experience‘ the four day event where Winter will show her light installation ‘vision of light’. She will also join the Arts Residency program at the famous ‘MAPP Arca Onlus’ museum and hospital for creativity & psychological rehab of persons with mental and physical disease, where she will explore the power of light within the atmosphere with the patients. The final exhibition of works will be at the ‘Museo D Arte Contemporanea Pado Pini, Una Notte al Museo 2007 this will see the end of the first stage of the international exhibition program.

 

Winter’s work is one of experience by exploring the complexities of light and how we perceive it both in a mental and physical sense.  She encourages engagement from the participants who enter the work detaching them from the reality of the world in which we live.
